Memorial Day

1943, my dad is second from the left. And, above, with my Aunt Gladys, the only remaining sibling of four; she's now 86.

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men (and women)
who died,
who gave that right to me.

Here, here! Couldn't have said it any better than that. Hope it was the most special of weekends for you Gail. Our commemorative day is ANZAC day here in April. Always a special day here too.
