In the Studio

Moving right along at my typical snail pace rather than as fast I'd like to work, vase shapes were cut out and painted. I'm fond of the one on the left, but it didn't work for what I have in mind for the fabric paper quilt. The fourth one, however, is such an improvement that for the first time in months I was truly excited. The fourth one will eventually be revealed.
The paint: fluid acrylics and water soluble pastels. The substrate: thin pellon.
Can you guess my true colors?
Quote: Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.
Sir Cecil Beaton
